In March of 2004 I was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer that had metastised to my sternum. Fear motivated me to research my diagnoses. Fear motivated me to do most of the things that was required for me to recover. Fear motivated me to be there for my children and my family.
In June of 2005, I was on the road to recovery as far as the cancer was concerned, and fear motivated me to drink.I knew that it was time to make a change, this frightened me. Fear motivated me to leave my children behind to presue an education so that I could provide better for my them. Fear motivated me to enter a twelve step program so that I could be a better woman, mother, and daughter.
In January of 2006 fear motivated me to have another mammo where they found breast cancer for the second time. Fear motivated me to have a biopsy and to have the treatment to defeat that battle. This second time fear motivated me to have the courage to show other women that they to could overcome breast cancer if they are willing to fight. I was enrolled in the fall semester of one of our local community colleges and had to drop out while in treatment for the second occurence.
In January of 2007, while in a check up with my Radiology Oncologist, we discovered something again. Here we go again.
So here it is March of 2007 and fear is motivating me to fight to live.

I totally agree with you fourthtimer. Fear has made me become so much more aware of my body and to go in and get things checked out; before cancer I might of blew it off. I am so glad you are staying on top of things. I always tell my friends and family to GO IN and see someone even if you don’t think it is a big deal. you never know. Welcome to the group.
Hi there you have come to the right place.

Keep going! We do what we have to do. It’s the only way. Have you looked in to diet? I know people with cancer who cut all sugar and fat and meat from their diets and are now cancer free. Don’t know if this pertains to you. But wanted to let you know. I wrote about it on a previous blog. Take care!
Hugs!
